July 4: A day trip to Saint Jean Cap Ferrat. We took a bus to a small peninsula up the coast. We missed our bus stop by five stops and headed back towards Nice. When we realized this, we jumped off at the next stop and found the best beach, we have been to so far in a small town of Beaulieu-Sur-Mer, translated means "beautiful place by the sea."
This dock was a little swim out in the bay so the boys decided to go and play on it. They all made it.
Kylie was still suffering from the affects of no sunscreen on our beach day two days prior. I don't know why she thought she wouldn't sunburn without sunscreen. I wish she was right, but she wasn't. To keep the sun from even peeking at her bright red skin, she devised these covers.
The tank top she wore didn't give her much cover so she borrowed Tyler's and Todd's shirts to cover more of her body, left her socks on, and curled up into the fetal position. When you layout on a French beach where most people have the least amount of covering as possible, Kylie really stood out. I think they were staring at us for once more than we were looking at them.
Tanner's favorite place to be on the beach.
Tyler thought he would try it too.
After eating lunch and playing on the beach, we decided to find the lighthouse of Cap Ferrat, the reason we went here in the first place. We were told the walk to the lighthouse is beautiful with homes, gardens, and scenery.
The miles were long and hot, but the scenery was worth it.
Just a shot down at the banks of the sea. The water is so clear and unpolluted.
A villa along the way, with its own boat dock. Big enough to park the ferry boat from your yacht.
