We finally made it. Was it worth it? We all said.... maybe. Ty I think would have said no if we could have found where he was hiding.

Built in 1862 by Napoleon III, the lighthouse is visible from as far away as Nice. We can see it from our window. Napoleon wanted to ensure a monitoring of navigation, a way to transmit messages to passing ships, and be able to organize rescues in the event of maritime disasters. This was done with the building of the lighthouse.

One of our stops to cool off in our search for the walkways to end, Todd decided to take a picture with me right after he had been swimming. I am not a fan of being cold or a fan of cold water; he was both when he grabbed me. Can you tell?

Tanner and Kylie nicely framing the Nasoni for us.

These are the public paths all along the coast of Cap Ferrat. They stretch for over six miles or more. We calculated  between our error in exit and walks to the bus stop, we did at least eight miles that day. Kylie is pictured in position one with the rest of us trying to catch up.

A view of the hike along the waters edge.

This area was a little inlet. Most of the beaches around this part of the peninsula are small and accessed by a step stone path. This was one of the larger ones so we stopped for a dip. Tyler exploring and hunting any sea creatures in the tide pools he can harrass.

Todd, in the water again.

The kids in the best one we found that day.

The boys wandering around. By their size, you can see the shear magnitude of the cliffs.

Watching the tide come in.

The steps leading down to our personal hideaway.

After many miles, blood, sweat and tears, we have found the bus stop. Tanner was a trooper and didn't complain at all. I think his last straw was broken as he sat on my shoes to wait for the bus.

All of us are looking defeated. We were down but not out, and have survived another one of Todd Brady's death marches as the kids call them.

We were so tired by the time we got home that we just stopped by Fennochio's for ice cream, went home, had bread and nutella for dinner and called it a day.
