The gears inside the Town Hall Bell Tower in Siena. They are not functioning but still really neat to look at.
Just a look into a flower shop. This is the size of a typical shop. They are very tiny and are usually on the base floor of a family's apartment.
The courtyard in the Palazzo Chiai Saracini.
The doors into the entrance of the Palazzo Chiai Saracini which houses art work by Boticelli. An interesting side note. Twice in the summer time, Siena holds a rodeo on steroids called Palio. Basically, every neighborhood has their team and each team competes in horse and medieval challenges such as jousting. They used to have fist fight competitions but have faded those out for good reason. Whatever neighborhood you are from is the team you stay loyal too. They have banners and hold the horse races and other events in the Piazza where the Town Hall is located. Whoever wins has bragging rights for a year. And here in Italy, bragging rights are coveted.
