Persius who flanks the other side of the archway to the Palazzo della Signoria.
Someone killing a centaur. Look at the strain of the muscles in the centaur's legs.
Another view of Persius beheading Medusa. Look at the detail in this bronze by Benvenuto Cellini. Interestingly, in 1498 a radical monk by the name of Savonarola had a small following that would burn paintings, and writings, and anything Renaissance in this spot. He had a pretty good following, enough to dethrone the Medici family who owned the town. He was the main monk that came into replace the one the Medici's had bought. It wasn't long before he lost favor and the Medici's got what they wanted. He was defrocked in public, hung from this spot and burned right where he had burned all that was Renaissance. Tough luck.
A Trojan stealing someone, maybe her sister or friend. The way the folds of her clothes just melt around her is so beautiful, especially considering its stone.
