June 24: Venice Day 2
A view from Railto Bridge, a major landmark of Venice. Built in 1588, it is the third bridge built on this spot. This was the only bridge to span the Grand Canal until the 1850's. Rialto was an impressive engineering undertaking for its day.
From the top of the bridge. Tanner wasn't having a good morning as you can see. We have been going a million miles an hour and for my coach potatoe, it has been a little much.
The bridge is lined with shops on all sides. Tyler found his favorite.
A lunch break of pizza, authentic of coarse, on the Rialto Bridge.
Climbing the bridge.
