Florence or Firenze is famous for its leather. This is the leather market in a sidestreet of Florence. We had a great time shopping here.
Waiting for our train to Siena.
Happy Birthday to Tanner. This is what he asked to eat for his birthday. A milestone because he is now in double digits and he chooses McDonalds to celebrate.
I think this is the only time I have sat by Todd on anything.

I can't believe he actually did this. The kids were gagging because we took a few. Who hasn't wanted a picture of kissing a handsome man as you are boarding a train that is about to leave. The train wasn't leaving, we had just arrived. But who cares; he'll never do it again.
The achitecture and churches in Siena are a lot more simple. This town predates Renaissance times to Medieval. Siena is Florence's rival and was eventually conquered by Florence.

This is inside one of the tiny churches. The ceilings were wood and brick, very different from all the glamour of the Renaissance and Baroque we have been accustomed to so far in Italy.
The family taking the sights in.
As you can see, these are more like the row houses we pictured in Florence that date back to th Medieval Ages.

Back a minute to Florence... this is what the boys did while the girls were shopping in the leather market, kindles and Iphones. We tried to take a picture with one of the vendors we bought from but he said he couldn't because he was wanted by the authorities. We thought he wsa kidding, he wasn't. We told him we weren't from this country and he said they would find him. It may not have been the polizia, but the Moffia. We said our good-byes and left quickly.
